Goodbye Asperger’s? We have known since Feb 2010 that Asperger’s disorder will probably be incorporated into a new diagnostic category in the new American Psychiatric Association manual (DSM 5). “Autism spectrum disorder” will incorporate the current diagnoses of autistic disorder, Asperger’s disorder, childhood disintegrative disorder and pervasive developmental disorder (not otherwise specified).
