Aim
This exciting two day course aims to provide a solid platform of training skills and training ideas for new or existing trainers to enable them to deliver autism training that is engaging, imaginative, positive, good adult learning and evidence based.
Who is it for?
This course is for you if:
- You are at the beginning of your career long development as an autism trainer
- You are a trainer new to the field of autism
- You are an autism trainer who wants to improve your practice, skills and knowledge
Whether you are an experienced trainer or have recently taken on a staff development role, providing good adult learning in the field of autism presents some specific challenges. The course will provide a safe environment to develop as a trainer in the company of other trainers. Autism is a complex condition and helping staff teams understand it and feel supported is a real skill. Making that achievable is what this course is all about. As part of the course there will be pre and post training activities and support. Much of the course will focus on learning how to make autism training fun, accessible and positive for learners.
All participants receive a folder and CD ROM of resources. Participants are also given permanent free access to our unique, online Forum for Autism Trainers.
